A KernelFaultCheck is when your computer has had a crash and it sends a memory dump to the registry.

example: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

The kernelfaultcheck's process which is related to a 'dumprep' command performs memory dumps and writes debugging information.

In the previous example, to disable "dumprep 0 -k" that the process that pops up the box saying "Your system has recovered from a serious error...would you like to send a report to Microsoft?"
