Japan Association for Clinical Engineering Technologists (JACET) was founded in February 1990 as a voluntary organization, a professional organization responsible for operation and maintenance of various life support equipment directly related to management of human life, backed by engineering and safe to create a system can receive advanced medical technology or have been working hard to make effective use of repeated limited medical resources.

Efforts to improve the status of an incorporated association for business expansion and achievement of clinical engineer further its social mission, March 14, 2002 "Japan Association for Clinical Engineering Technologists" received approval from the Ministry of Health as Enhancement of professional ethics and promote a clinical engineer, improve the quality scientific and technical research 鑚, working to improve the reliability of medical and welfare and other equipment supported by life-support system, health of the citizens We aim to contribute to enhance progress and welfare.
